Japanese Geisha

Back to the black and white again for this Geisha girl, another of Jayne Nestorenko's new stamps. This one again can be brought separately or with one called the Kyoto Gardens.

I had some flowery black and white paper in my stash which I thought would work well with this stamp,so I used this for the background. Before I attached it to the base card I used a Spellbinders edgeability to create a border top and bottom. The Japanese Geisha I stamped using Jet black Archival and embossed with clear embossing powder.
Using the Blossom Three die to die-cut the image, then create a faux nestie by drawing around the same size die onto black card and cutting out. This gives a smaller mat than if you cut with the next size die up.
The swirl was made using a Marianne die and the leaves from a Martha Stewart punch.
The flowers were made by punching a circle and cutting a spiral into it.I then used tweezers but you could use a quilling tool to wind the spiral up from the outside in.Allow the spiral to relax a little then glue the small base piece at the end.A PVA based glue is best as this allows a bit of movement but grabs quick and solid when dry.

Busy week this week, samples I can show, some have to be held back 'till a later date.Friday I will be leaving for the Newbury show with Kay.
