Birthday Rabbit

Just a few more samples from the weekend at Excel. I know....I just had to use Distress inks with them....and you can. The background was created with a torn scrap of card and ink up to it to create clouds with the blue and small hills with the green. Tumbled Glass and Peeled paint to be exact with a bit of Chipped Sapphire for the flowers and butterflies. The rabbit I painted with Brushed Corduroy, he's quite a character isn't he.

The card below has quite a simple look to it, the stamps are on the same set as the rabbit, it's a celebration set.
The wine bottle and glasses were stamped with Memento, the bottle painted with Distress Ink. Too give the glasses that shiny look I used Glossy Accents. To create the fizzy bubbles I used Crystal Stickles at the top of the glass and above.
The pattern around the edge I did free hand to join up the hearts which are stamps from the set.
Sorry for yesterday, I didn't realise I'd posted  the same card twice....I do love this card though.
Right, I'm off to pack the car.
Happy Crafting.

Emily's Garden

Well I had a great time at Excel, it was great to be demoing again. I really enjoyed playing with Card-io's stamps and I hope I have encouraged some new and old stampers to have a go.
Travelling down to Kent tomorrow as I'm teaching two full day workshops at J & C Creations, one on Distress Inks the other a Distressed Clock.
Friday,  It's a trip to Ally Pally with Kay, this will be my tenth year at the show and I still enjoy it.
Just to let you know Kay's stand has moved to the back of the hall, so we're not in our usual place as in the programme.
Short post tonight as I still have more packing to do.

Three cards today

I'm feeling generous today, three samples for you to see.
The first is made using stamps from Jayne Nestorenko. The surround was just stamped in Onyx Black Versafine ,the main image however was stamped in the same but coloured with copics.
The frame was cut using Labels Two from Spellbinders.
For this card I used the new dies from Tattered Lace, the shoe, square frame and the swirls near the flower came from the handbag die. The glittered card stock came from a 12x12 pad by DCWV.

Card-io sample this time, this card I will be taking to Excel, so if you want to see it in the flesh so to speak, please come and see it on the stand.
The topper I cut with Labels Sixteen but laid it on to Decorative labels One. I love playing about with the dies to see which ones mix and match. The background I embossed using a Special touch mask called ivy.

Well I'm off to get some shopping done before the van arrives to collect me, I'll post if I have a connection if not it will be Saturday night, so please keep checking back.

Life and Times

This card has a different look to the others I made using Jayne's new stamps, I wanted to make a card for a man, as Father's Day is getting closer. As one of the stamps is an old tractor, a vintage look and so Distress Inks came into my head. I used some papers and accessories from a Teresa Collins kit called Vintage Finds that was on Create and Craft.
The image of the tractor was stamped in Walnut Stain onto a piece of patterned paper, then a fragment from Ranger was stuck over the top with a small amount of Glossy Accents applied around the edge only. Once dry I cut away the excess paper around the fragment and then mounted the piece onto my layered base card.
Tomorrow I'm off to help set up at Exel   and then three days demoing for Card-io. If your visiting the show then please be gentle with me. I love stamping, but this is a new experience. I'm enjoying this chance to play with something new.
Here's one of the cards I've made, other's I'll show at a later date.

Right back to work, need to make a few more, adding my take on these lovely useful stamps.
