Butterflies Today

Last day at home today as I'm off to Biggin Hill tomorrow with Kay to set up for the show on Sunday, following that it's off to Bluewater for a show starting on Thursday, this will be working for Glitter Magic.
Did you see the shows Sheena did today ? Those inking fingers looked very familiar, mine are now clean for a little while, but I shall still be colouring while I'm away as Sheena has some more shows very soon.My stamps arrived today, so I have stamped some images out to take with me to colour.

Today's card has included those images I'm now liking off the fairy plate.I sponged the pourables from Luminarte over the cardstock, dried it, the stamped and embossed the butterfly twice. First one was the full image, the second was minus the bottom wings. Mounted together and twirled some wire to make the feelers. The corner was again stamped and embossed, the ivy leaves were stamped in clear powder onto green cardstock and cut out.

Sheena's on tomorrow

Ok I'm sorry for not posting recently no real excuse but my husband has been on holiday and I did have a birthday.I do have plenty of cards in store to post so no excuse there especially as Sheena is on TV again tomorrow.Love three of the sets not sure on the fourth, just as Sheena predicted, but beginning to like some elements of it, guess which !

These new ones are great for those who love Distress inks, like me and for building layers and scenes.
There are a mixture of two sets here. the trees are easy to see, if you look closely you can see snowflakes embossed onto the acetate. I used Grand labels One from Spellbinders for the aperture as well as the poinsettia, the swirl  is a Marianne die. The Distress ink was Faded Jeans, the pearls are Hobby House, but all products except for Sheena's stamps can be brought from J & C Creations.
If you go to the shows Krafty Hands sell  Crafters Companion products including Sheena's stamps.
Hope you enjoy the shows tomorrow, I know Sheena is on three times depending on stock,oh nearly forgot there are also some new products from Luminart, messy time is all I'm saying.

Fairy Dust

I don't know if you spotted this card in this mornings shows but it is in fact an easel card.
This time I water coloured with Distress Inks Dusty Concord and Broken China,The wings I glittered with Glamour dust.
The Spellbinders for this one are Labels Eight for the topper, the flower is from the Anemone set and the greeting is Labels Six.
To make the flowers punch a circle ,then cut a spiral into it and roll this up using a quilling tool or tweezers.
The swirl is a Marianne die.
Time to do some more samples as I'm demoing at the weekend in  Donington Park,at Great British Craft Festival on the J & C Creations stand along with Lisa B.
Really looking forward to the show and I'll post some samples later in the week to show what I'm demoing.
Do you think that will involve some stamps by any chance?

Show's Tomorrow

Ok,sorry it's late  no real excuse but I hope the wait is worthwhile.
I love this one in the pinks and blues, very girly.
Coloured with alcohol pens and a bit of glitter added to the wings.
That cardstock has appeared again, embossed and sanded back to show off the pattern.
The pink strip across the middle was stamped with the stars and heat embossed using some glitter embossing powder.
Used Spellbinders to give shape to the topper and to make the leaves.
The flowers were made by cutting four pieces using the blossom die, rolling through a ribble machine to loosen the fibres. Then  gently pulling apart the cardstock which will the give you four layers to each flower. attach together with a brad and then moisten each layer with water.
Pull each layer up in turn and scrunch together, allow to relax back a bit and leave to dry. This technique works well with Bazzill and core'dinations cardstock.
I'll be watching tomorrow, hope you will be too.

Santa Claus

Sorry I'm having to post another Christmas card, that's the trouble with the crafting industry we are always working ahead of time.
This is from the second set of Sheena's stamps will will be shown on Monday evening and Tuesday next week on Create and Craft.
Brighter than I usually make but I loved the colour combination. The Core'dinations cardstock which will be on the show was lovely to use, see if you can spot it in some of the samples I will be posting
very soon.
Of course there had to be Spellbinders, I used Grand Circles,Grand Scalloped Circles for the aperture and Create-a-Flake Three.
The image was coloured with alcohol pens.
I added some glitter but it doesn't show on this photograph, just a touch to his hat and the snow.
It didn't look finished to me until I added the red glass Glints to the centre of the snow flakes,I don't know what you think?
The wording also came from the stamp set.

I'll show one of my favourites tomorrow, but it's back to the girls I'm afraid.

Sheena's New Christmas Stamps

Well I couldn't decide which one of my DT samples to put on first,so I gave up with making the choice and just posted the first one I made.
I've stamped the image with Memento ink and coloured with alcohol pens.Used Antique Linen Distress Ink to go around the edge after die-cutting with Grand Labels One.
The dividing black strip was made from one of the edgeabilities sets.
To add to the Christmas look I added poinsettia and a swirl, the dies to make these were Mariannes.

Big decision tomorrow which one to put on next !

Gingham Christmas

Today I've been working on some cards for Sheena's next show on the 14th August.Three more stamp sets from The little Sketchy range and it's put me in the mood for showing some other Christmas cards I've recently made.

The image is from a set of stamps from Penny Black - Christmas with Mimi.

I stamped the little girl onto Coconut White card using Memento ink. Then coloured with Copics.
Using Spellbinders 2011 Heirloom Bauble to cut the topper and also the mount below. I punched a hole through the top of the gingham piece and attached some gold rope through it.
The faux pine branch was made using a mixture of Floral Flourishes.
The poinsettia was a Marianne die, with which I cut some white glitter card and some gold metal for the centre.
To finish off I used a Quicky Glue Pen and Glamour dust to give a bit of sparkle. Surprised myself tonight I've completely emptied my glue pen, loving the ease of use and that it dries quickly.Good job I have plenty of spares.
What do you think to the gingham look ? The papers plus most of the products I used can be found on J & C Creations website .
