Tattered lace fan

It's rush, rush, rush at the moment as I'm off to Glasgow tomorrow for the Hobbycraft show at the SECC. So if your going please call by and say Hi, I will be demonstrating stamps from Jayne Nestorenko and Chocolate Baroque.
Really must get in the Christmas mood as a lot of these stamps are Christmas based.
Had a great time at North Petherton, otherwise know as the Taunton show, shame about the weather but at least it was dry for breakdown. The day before Kay and I had a lovely day shopping in Taunton and that the Monkton Elm garden centre with Debbie and Gail. I did pick up a few Christmas presents but still have quite a few more to buy.
Today card is another from the Tattered Lace POD, the Chantilly Rose die. It looks like a rose banner  but I cut up the individual pieces to build up the fan. The rose piece on it one I glued and glittered with a Quickie glue on and crystal glitter. I also dotted around each piece with a white pen.
The papers were from a 8x8 pad from Lili of the Valley called Antebellum.
Most go now ......... What to do first ..........

Black and White Lace Box

What a day it has been, had a great time helping Kay with her Hougie workshop in Exeter. There was a whole group of lovely ladies, some of who were Hougie virgins as we call them, 6 projects later they were no longer that.
Tomorrow is set up  day at the new venue for Taunton, Venue @ 24 , North Petherton, the morning will give us a  chance to go shopping in Taunton, may get some Christmas presents who knows.
Well it's not a card tonight but a box, made  on Hougie of course. The decoration was made with some of the new Tattered Lace dies that were in the Pick of the Day, plus some of the flowers from a while ago.

Tattered Lace on Tonight

Just spent a very busy day at Stephanie Weightman's  playing......sorry working . Some of the new dies I only saw today , well I want , need, want must send order into Zoe tomorrow. They were gorgeous, very much up my street  as people say round here. I can see me using them virtually every day.
Oh  and I got to see the designs for the next release, ideas are already busy round my head.
I need to play some more tonight as I am off to Exeter tomorrow with Kay. Seem to be spending a lot     of time in the part of the country recently.......
Although I posted one of the cards from tonight's POD on Facebook I didn't put it on my blog, so I'll do that tonight plus a new one.
Last nights

This was made using dies from the POD and the winter florals, the papers are MCS but from some time ago.
Tonight's card

See if you can see where this fish comes from if you watch tonight's show on Ideal World at 9pm or look on the Tatttered Lace website.
Will explain how to tomorrow !

More D-Lites samples

I loved the effect of using the wrought iron railings as a bridge on a card , so I had to make another one. The background was made with a Couture Creations folder which along with the stamp can be purchased from Creative Expressions. As well as the D-Lites I added one of the Label dies from my stash, the thing is with Spellbinders all their dies mix and match so well together.

Same flower as the previous one here , just to show how they look in different colours.
The background was made with another folder from Couture Creations with Coredinations cardstock, after embossing I sanded it back.
Going to be busy for the next few days as I'm off to Taunton to help on another of Kay's (Hougie) workshops on Friday. Sunday there is a Sincerely Yours show at North Petherton. A new venue for the show it is just off the M5 Jnt 24.
Then on Tuesday I leave for Glasgow for the show at the SECC , really love this show and I will be demoing for the four days. I will let you know what at the weekend.
So Happy Crafting friends.

D-Lite windows

Windows today, but for this card I used a die-cut as a stencil and inked through Distress inks.
Cut out two of the wrought iron railings, they join together very easily.
I used the twigs from the holly set  and cut some leaves from the sprigs for the branch.

For this window I cut off the fan light off one die-cut, then cut another window but just to use the ledge part.
For the background I used a Couture Creations folder and then inked the edge with Tumbled Glass.
To finish the card I added a variety of the flowers and some sprigs of leaves.

Medallion Nine

Two more Spellbinders cards here, playing with Medallion Nine. There is in fact three different dies used on this card from the new D-Lites range. I cut two of the medallions, twisting the top one slightly round before attaching. Then adding one of the blossoms on top , with a gem for the centre.
Two sprigs of foliage, one for each side of the flower. The background was made using a folder from Couture Creations, then I inked  around the edge with Distress ink.

This card the two other ways you can use this set of dies, the first is just to cut the filigree section out, which I did twice in this panel. The other way is just to cut the blank piece, which I did after attaching some double-sided adhesive to it. After removing the backing I covered it with the new glitter from Creative Expressions. I then stamped over the top with Stazon.
The background behind then panel was made by attaching pieces of the medallion cut into pieces but cut I the same cardstock as the base card. This makes it look like it has been embossed.

Two styles of Christmas Wreaths

Back to Spellbinders today, more of the new D-Lites, launched recently on Create and Craft.
This is the wreath cut out of craft metal, gold for the wreath  and silver for the bow. The berries were made with a red Stickles. Down the left-hand side I added holly leaves from another die, again in silver and gold. To keep the shape they were attached with Pinflair glue.

A quick card this, and the papers were from a paper pad which was free from a magazine. I layered the papers up  and added a die-cut wreath to frame the picture of Santa Claus.
Ok back to work, loving these new Tattered Lace dies, can't wait to show you some samples. Lots more ideas to work through before Wednesday.
Happy Crafting .

Love Music

Photo not up to my usual standard here, never mind, I'll post two cards again to make up for it.
I thought this card would be good for those taking music exams, a classic black and white card so it doesn't matter if it is for a boy or girl.

The background of this card I made with Brushed Corduroy Distress ink, stencilled through the die-cut musical flourish and the lid of the piano.
The wording for both was die-cut using the Deco Alphabet.

Tattered Lace for Men

I feeling generous at the moment so here are two more cards made the the Hat and Cane set of dies from Tattered Lace.
The first is made with 6 of the dies and there are still more in this set, great value here. Covers a lot of cards for those males in our life, but also very useful for those steam punk style cards and 3D projects. The card was very easy to make, just die-cut the shapes and attach to cream card a little larger than the die-cut. Add some faux stitching around the edge of each piece. Placement of the the pieces , is up to you I just played around until I was happy. I used the Deco alphabet to do the wording, then drew around the edge of the whole card to frame the piece.

This card was very simple indeed, tear two pieces of copy paper for a wavy edge . Lay them on the card to give a gap in the middle, then ink over with Distress Ink Tumbled Glass . Die-cut three planes in black card, then stick them down in formation. The Happy Birthday was again made using the Deco Alphabet, cut out of the same black card.
I was very excited this morning the new Tattered Lace dies arrived, you may have seen a few samples on Stephanie Weightman's Facebook page. It is now my turn to play with these very pretty dies, so goodbye for now I'm off to play..........

Cascading Circles

Two cards today using Tattered Lace dies from the Music of the Night range, saying that this card has a flower from the Sentiment floral set.
The background paper is from a paper pad from Lili of the Valley called Antebellum, I really love the papers in this pad you may see more of them on future cards.
I cut the Cascading Circle in both green and pink, to be able to cut the individual flowers in pink and lay them over the green piece. The centre flower I made up using the same cardstock and edged the petals with Victorian Velvet Distress ink.
The wording was made using the Alphabet Deco and the same cardstock and ink. To add detail round the edge of the card I did some faux stitching.

Another version of the Cascading Circle here, just cut out of white card. Again I cut it twice , to give it a 3D look and also to expand the end of the swirl.
The background was a blend of two Distress inks, over which I flicked some water and then blotted off. Then added some Black Soot around the edge to frame the piece. I used the alphabet again for the wording.
May have post two again tomorrow to play catch up  as there more coming soon.

Musical Parasol

Well I didn't need one of these today, weather was good today here in Bristol. I'm demonstrating at Cadbury's Garden and Leisure, showing how to use different IndigoBlu products.I'm loving the  new paints and Kroma Crackle, will post some samples at a later date.
Today's card was made using the new Tattered Lace dies, I used the musical flourish to build the parasol along with the umbrella from the dies for men. The flowers were also on the show but the border was from some time ago. All the dies can be found on the Tattered Lace website, there is a link on the side of my blog.
After tomorrow's demo I will have a break until the Taunton ? Show which is now at North Petherton. Which will give me a chance to play with some products that are new to me and catch up with UFOs lurking in my shed.
I still have a backlog of card samples to show you, so please check back if you have time.

Moustache not flowers this time.

Sorry, been a bit busy as I'm off to Bristol tomorrow, to Cadbury's Garden & Leisure. I will be there Saturday and Sunday demoing for Indigoblu , as the garden centre has a full craft weekend this time every year. There will be other demonstrators from different companies, not sure who but last year there at least 5 of us, may be 7 this year.
In answer to my question in the last post, the flowers were made with the moustache die, as seen in the card above. Just to prove the dies can be used in many different ways, cut them in scrap card first and then play, see what appears.........
I will post some more details on the weekend as soon as I know who's there and try to take some photos.
Enjoy the weekend everyone, I know I will.
Happy Crafting.

Flowers with a twist

Sorry I haven't posted for a couple of days, just got back from the 4 day show at Westpoint, then I've been busy with the Tattered Lace POD. The launch was tonight at 9pm, so I'm writing this post in between shows, then next is 11pm on Ideal World. Really enjoyed playing with the dies I was sent, looking for the different ways to use them. If your saw the show you will know which die made these flowers, but for those that didn't, lets say they came from the set which included the hat, cane and aeroplane. So it's not only a set for the males but females too, just needs a bit of thought.
I love the alphabet, not just for cards with that Art Deco feel, but a nice general one.
The papers came from a new pad by Lily of the Valley, just couldn't resist when I saw them at Ally Pally, might have to purchase more when I see them in Glasgow.
Well time is nearly up, can't wait to see how many dies have sold out, or are close to. I'll post some more samples this week, so please keep checking back.
Happy Crafting.
