Die-Lectables Day 3

Another selection of cards  made using the new Die-Lectables from Create and Craft.
From watching the shows with Jake Heath demonstrating, the Carolers seem to be very popular. I used them as they come out of the die, but there are quite a few different ways of using these when you start to cut them about.
The background was made using Distress inks, sponging over a punched circle to give you a moon. The snow was just torn strips of white card with glitter added to the top edges. The tree  came from cutting apart the the Floral Sprig die cut which was also on the show.
The background paper for this came from a Lili of the valley pad, the red sheet was embossed  with a Sue Wilson folder, the Heart Lattice.
The bells were cut from Centura Pearl gold paper , then stuck to some Harvest cream card from The House of Zandra, I made my bows using the Bowmaker from Tattered Lace, I found this the easiest way of making my bows, you may see some more on my cards from now on, just need some more ribbon..............lol
Looking forward to a family meal out tonight but first need to do some work.

Die-Lectables Day 2

Busy day over, can get down to some crafting tonight. Managed to see  a couple of Nancy's shows as well as in person, when I delivered my cards for tomorrow's  show. There was a busy green room at Ideal with  Ruth ( Hunkydory), Dawn ( Crafter's Companion) , Leonie and of course Nancy.

This card was made using the new Die-Lectables Christmas tree, I cut eight of them out of white card then sprayed them with an adhesive, easier than gluing and  then covered  them with glitter.
Attached these to a square of white card,  then die-cut a frame using Spellbinders Grand Squares.

Another tree card, this time using the bauble die which comes with the tree.
The first part of my birthday weekend tomorrow a meal out with my Husband, two Daughters  and my Granddaughter, should be fun. Then to collect my birthday cake. I'll post some photos tomorrow.
For now Happy Crafting.

Classic Christmas and Christmas Angels

As promised a third post for today, hopefully I will now be back in the swing of things.
These two cards are from  the new CDs  by Katy Sue. The first is from the Christmas Angels which is full of toppers with sentiments, backing papers, speciality cards and much much more. For this card I took one of the PNG images, cut to the size if the Spellbinders die-cut. I used papers from the CD for the base layer and stamped and embossed the Noël with a navy blue embossing powder from WOW. The Christmas wording stamps were also on the show, these are very useful, and I really like to use sentiments  on a card when I can,
This topper was from the Classic Christmas CD also the wording. To create the base I covered the card in Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink and then stamped one of the greetings in the same colour..
I then added a few poinsettias made with a Spellbinders die to finish it off.
One post only tomorrow  as I have several appointments  including dropping off my Tattered Lace samples for Friday's show. Definitely will be watching at 8am tomorrow to see Nancy with the new embossing folders, saw these when they were being tested, really want these, wonder if somebody will by them for my birthday on Saturday.
Happy Crafting.

Christmas Die-Lectables

Ok here is the second post of the day, just to help catch up with all the samples I have,
Sorry about the shadows on this  only the sun decided to shine just as  I was having a mamouth  photography session..........It does give the fireplace card some atmosphere, and proves they are  proper cards on the shelf.. The die-cuts were coloured with alcohol markers. The  brickwall was made using a stencil from Stamposaurus , embossed then coloured with distress inks. The swirls from the fireplace I cut up and used on the mini cards.

I loved these snowmen, easy to make, die cut in white and place onto some more white card and cut around. Then colour with alcohol markers, the eyes and nose I used coloured card. The papers were from Lili of the Valley, one of there new pads, of course I couldn't resist.
The Happy Christmas was also from one of the sets on the show.
More samples from this show to follow, there maybe another post today who knows.......

Create a Flower 2

Ok this is hopefully going to be a catch up post, work has been a bit hectic at the moment, there has been a lot of shows on Create and Craft. My poor Grand Calibur and  Ebosser haven't stopped working, they have no time for a rest yet  still more to do.
Also had a great time at the  Great Britsh Craft  Festival at Stoneleigh Park, lovely to see so many fellow crafters, great to see you again Kitty.
With the amount of cards to show I may  have to do several posts......
The first collection are the Create a flower

These two are the Pansy and the Stargazer Lily.
The flower on both samples were coloured with alcohol pens.
If I have time ,I will do another quick post at lunch time.
I still have Sheena, Katy Sue and  Christmas Spellbinders to show plus there will be Tattered Lace very soon.
For now Happy Crafting

Create a Flower

Monday morning again, so that means I have a few minutes to post while my Granddaughter is fast asleep after our morning food shopping trip. Off to see Great Grandma and Granddad this afternoon, if it manages to stay dry will will go to the park they live next to.
Well at the moment I wish I could split myself in two , to cover all the work I need to do. Time management needs to come into practise, at least I have no daughters at home at the moment only a not to messy husband. So no real housework needs to be done. I think the only time I will be out my shed is Friday when Kay and I will be travelling to Stoneleigh for the Great Britsh Craft Festival.
Love this show, this will be Kay's first time  as she was on holiday last time. She did manage to visit though on the Sunday, I knew she was there half an hour before I saw her, I heard her laugh.......
Managing to see some Create and Craft while Mia's asleep, had to watch Christina with the Create a flower dies, yes I did make sime of the samples. Love these dies, great for all those odd bits  of card many of us crafters keep. Don't we........"
If I had time I would make a supply up for use on future cards.

Poppy and Sunflower, both very apt for this time of year. Especially the poppy for today, my Great Grandfather died at the Somme, he never gor to meet his daughter, he died just after she was born.
Well trouble  :) has just woke up , so that's all for today,

Only Sheena Samples today

A few more cards from  Sheena's last show, this card was using the pine branch folder and the robin stamps. I actually used a piece of wood veneer for the background, you can not only die - cut the  veneer but also emboss it. After a bit of  brainstorming, I realised that  I could Glycerine to make it flexible, less brittle, easier to use. I used some ink and Gilding wax to  highlight the embossing.

A simple card but very sweet, using the fir branch again, a stamp from last year and Chipped Sapphire Distress ink.
Time to get some work done, didn't really start much this morning, had to go to Colemans warehouse for their demo day and
wish Paul Church a Happy Birthday .

Spellbinders and Sheena again

Morning, just a few more cards  to you from the two shows.
This one all the presenters seemed to like, it was fun to make. Think of all the different colour ways you could do!
I used some double-sided adhesive for this effect. Die-cut a piece of black card using both the dies in the set, then use just the outer label die to cut the double-sided adhesive. Remove one side of the  sheet to reveal the adhesive and place on some white card .now remove the other side and place the  black die-cut on top. With one of the sheets you removed place on the picture die and cut. All you need from this  is the pieces that are the snow, place these on to the adhesive to protect these parts while you cover the  other parts with glitter. Make sure you you clear away all the excess glitter before removing the snow sections. Then  add the white or crystal glitter for the snow. I made the card blank from a one of the Grand Labels one, which was embossed using a Crafter's Companion embossing folder.
Hope this made sense,.
I might use this for my Christmas card this year, I have so much glitter, don't use as much as I use to, not like in the  days of the Medallion stamps.

A bit of a mixture of  last years tree and baubles from this years's . Did you see the new Lili of the Valley papers on some of the samples ? Sorry can't help using these.......

Two more cards from Sheena 's show using Distress ink, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot.
The first was a stepper card with an acetate cover., the second was purely stamping and inking.
Time to get to work on something you will see on Monday..........
Happy Crafting.
