I really enjoyed all the networking, as we call it,hopefully some demo bookings will follow.
The two days were rounded off by a visit to Ideal World, dropping off samples(to be shown later) and meeting Sheena Douglass, with whom I went to dinner with for a nice long chat.
If only I could show the shimmer in the leaf, it comes from the Polished Pigments, Sheena had these on C&C this Monday.I used one of the masks to sponge through, A mixture of the Hot Cinnamon and Sunflower mixed with the Bind & Resist powder with a bit of water to the right consistency.
The background was a mixture of embossing one of the masks, inking over with Walnut Stain and Barn Door Distress Inks, then sanding back to reveal more of the leaf design. I added some over stamping using the same ink and one of Sheena's leaf stamps.
I'm now off to make some more cards for the Extravaganza weekend I'm attending along with Sheena at J & C Creations warehouse in Maidstone, Kent.
Hi Karen,Glad you enjoyed the trade show, you are so lucky I would love to be able to see something like that even if your feet are sore, well at least other people would see you have legs, just like I did. Love your card, really like Sheena's new leaf stamps. Been busy making flowers with her new Prism paints(Gorgeous) and original Paint Fusion flower stamps and decorating frames and hearts etc.,
ReplyDeleteHope you will be in Glasgow in March, with or without legs.........LOL although you may find it slightly difficult to get about.

ReplyDeleteLots of love from Patricia xx
You are so right Karen. The show was very inspiring and it's great to get the feel for trends and directions this year. It was also good at last to hear you getting credit for your samples on C&C this morning in the Spellbinders show. Love this card and that focal leaf in particular. Hugs, Jenny x
