Workshop News

At long last I've booked a date to do my first workshop,(with alot of gentle persuasion from my friends.....). It has been a long time since I've taught a class but I'm really looking forward it.
Great venue for some of my friends who like their coffee mentioning no names..... As a lot of you know I only drink tea but that tastes good aswell,I've tried it.Cakes have yet to be tried,oh well plenty of opportunity.

The first one will be a chance to get inky,my favourite pastime, using of course Distress inks(Have you seen the new colours !).There are many techniques using these and I hope to show quite a few in the two hours, resulting in a tag book which will be decorative but also a reference to the techniques learnt.

Tools will be provided but please bring your favourite tools if prefered.
If you are interested or need more information please call or e-mail me karenlines@btopenworld.com.
I hope to post a picture of the tag book soon.

As to other news, my lovely hubby brought me a laptop,a lot easier to use than my netbook and I can now use my crafting CD's.Hopefully I can now keep my blog updated, for some reason blogger didn't make it easy for me to post on the netbook.

I'm still travelling to many of the craft shows with Kay Rutter and J & C creations. It's been lovely meeting many a lot of my blog followers and chatting to fellow crafters.I really enjoy this part of my job, setting up and breaking down well......that's another story lol.Kay and I will be at a show in Leicester on 13th May then Biggin Hill the following weekend, please come and say hello if you're there.

Had a lovely day yesterday with my friends Anne and Nat at Sir Stampalot in Peterborough,we attended a workshop taught by the talented Louise. We got to have a colouring day with copics,Janice couldn't believe how quiet we were, but isn't that the way when your concentrating.Made a gorgeous box card and a simpler rocker card. Promise I'll show pictures soon. If you want a relaxing, enjoyable day that gives you plenty of information on Copics then give it a try.

Bank holiday Monday tomorrow my husband and I were going to Skegness but it looks like it's going to rain most of the day so change of plan, stay at home and play with some new goodies I brought at one of the shows recently and some Bo Bunny papers I brought yesterday. Post results tomorrow .......maybe.
