D-Liteful Tree

Morning crafters, just a quick post while I'm waiting to have my hair done.
This is the last card I have to post from the Spellbinders POW, can't wait to show you the cards I've been making with the new Tattered Lace dies. Just have to wait for the go ahead but I know you will love them.
I  have a few other projects to do after this, which I will be able to show straight away.
Today's card used papers I brought from Colemans Warehouse, ribbon from Ribbonbox and roses from Hobby House.
Until tomorrow Happy Crafting.

Woodland Kraft

Just a quick post as it's a bit late and I have another busy day of crafting tomorrow.
Both cards are from the Spellbinders show, the first using the dragonfly which was cut out of Kraft card from Anna Marie Designs. The backing paper was from a paper pad from Lili of the Valley.

The second card was made using the Twigs Unite die, which was die cut twice. Then they were cut apart to widen the gap  between the branches. The flowers were from  a Tattered Lace set of blooms.
Have a good weekend and Happy Crafting.

Fairy Dreams

Good Morning, two cards again today to show you , still have a bit of a backlog.
Not really in to making fairy cards but I did like this one. The papers were from Lili of the Valley, the wording stamp was from Creative Expressions. The fairy was die cut and then glittered with some glitters from Art Glitter.

This is the Oriental spice jar from Tattered Lace, I used some of the free papers from one of the magazines.
I cut the jar out from a rectangular piece of  white card, using what would have been the waste, I embossed this using one of Sheena's new embossing folders. The die cut I embossed with gold embossing powder. Placing a piece of patterned paper behind the aperture  I then inlaid the die cut into the aperture..
After lunch it's then time to play, really loving these new Tattered Lace dies, have I said that before oops Sorry.

Cards with frames

Morning everyone, just having a cuppa while my Granddaughter is asleep, so I thought I'd write a post for my blog.
Hope everyone had a good Easter break, I decided to  organise my dies into CD cases which will then go into a unit, let's say I've nearly filled 200 . Oops.  Easter Sunday involved another tidying session as Heather and her boyfriend  came to dinner, now we can see the dinning table. Lol.
Yesterday was my youngest daughters birthday 19 years old, where does time go ! Had a meal at Frankie and Bennys, then stop off to look after my Granddaughter while her Mum popped out.
The evening was filled with playing with the new Tattered Lace dies, wait 'till you see these.........
The first card was from the Spellbinders POW, simple to make, just cut the corner 4 times and link together. The frame was cut using the Grand Squares and the papers came from The House of Zandra.
The sparkler on the ribbon was actually on old earring belonging to my youngest daughter, she had a habit of always losing one. Always like to upcycle were I can.

This Tattered Lace card was made with the free gift from Issue 5 of the magazine. The swags and border were from the POD on Create and Craft. The roses were 3D and glittered, the die was cut twice in green so I cut the second one into sections and added them to the main design to expand it..
Somebody will be awake soon, ready for her lunch, saying that so am I
So Happy Crafting for now.

Lacey White

Happy Easter to all my blog followers, just making sure I say it  in case I don't post tomorrow. Hope you have a  relaxing weekend and the rain stays away.
I'm lucky that  tomorrow will probably be a play day,my wonderful husband cooks the dinner, downside is I will probably have to wash up.
Hope you are loving the new D-Lites , they are ones I know will definitely be using them in other cards I make.

This card used two of the die sets, Fancy Label Tags Two and Corner and Accents One.
I used the Fancy Label to cut an aperture, this piece of card I then partly embossed leaving an area flat to stamp on. I placed a decorative paper behind the aperture but on to the lower layer. .
Attaching the embossed piece with foam pads to lift it up, the label was then put onto the decorative through the aperture. I then cut out the other two layers to place on top. The ribbon was from Ribbonbox and the flowers and the centre pearl was from Hobby House.
I'm super excited, just received my next lot of Tattered Lace dies, so different, I know you will love them. I will keep  teasing you until I can show you some sneak peeks hopefully in a couple of weeks.
Until then here is another card from the last POD.

This was in Gold and White very useful for Weddings , anniversaries and Christenings.
Ok, time for lunch, then a quick tidy up in my studio before playing.
Happy Easter and Happy Crafting.

3 cards today

Three different cards today , using Spellbinders, Tattered Lace and Sheena Douglass' stamps.
Yes I was lucky enough to do the Spellbinders D- Lites new releases, I love my job !
I was surprised when they said Jak Heath was doing the show, I've only met  Jak once at the Harrogate show but it seems there will be more opportunity to work on the same shows again soon.
These dies were different to the usual D-lites with having the fairies and woodland creatures but I loved the Label tags. Ok and the hedgehog.........
The first lot of cards, which went for photography, I forgot to take photos of, this may be sorted soon but can see them on the VT they do for the POD.
Here's a card from the other samples I made.

I loved this card I don't know why, the die cuts were coloured with Copics, the papers were from you guessed it LOTV.
For the next card , Tattered Lace

Simple but effective, this was made from the pieces left from Yesterday's card.
For the last card, Sheena's new Stamps.

When I said yesterday about getting two for the effort of one, this is what I made with the other piece of glossy card.
Hope everyone has enjoyed their Good Friday, mine was spent tidying the house, but we did go out for a meal tonight.
Thinking about tidying my dies tonight, my collection seems to be expanding very quickly, I wonder why !!!!
Happy Crafting.

Italy and India part 2

A clue in the title there, two more cards today, one from  Tattered Lace, one from Sheena.
Have a few minutes while my Grandaughter sleeps to show some of the cards I have been making, seem to have a bit of a backlog  of cards to show. That will teach me not to blog daily.
Here is the first from Tattered Lace,

Love this card, it was in my head to do from the first time Stephanie showed me the designs in their initial  stages.
I just saw lupins , because of the design of the die you can cut two flowers out from each run through.
I coloured them with copics which took only minutes. The background paper was Lili of the Valley and the wording came from MCS.

Time to show one from Sheena's show

A white tiger , just to be different, only coloured his eyes.
The background was made using glossy card and wax paper. If you have the double-sided wax paper , the one  you use  with your Spellbinders dies, this is great because you get two for one.
Emboss a piece of wax paper in a folder, then place between two pieces of glossy card , shinny side towards the wax paper. Now find that iron , the one we never use , because we are busy crafting . Lol Heat the back of the glossy card for a minute or so. Once cool,  apply ink over the top, I used Distress ink, Mowed Lawn in this case. The leaves were inked and embossed with clear powder before cutting out.
Have fun with this technique,  but for now a Happy Crafting.

Italy and India

Another busy day ahead for me, I'm in a sample making frenzy at the moment. Today's card making session will be seen on Friday on Create and Craft, some brand new designs from ..................
I'm not telling yet...... SORRY.   and as I  do samples for several different companies the guessing is more difficult.
Yesterday was the launch of  a new set of Tattered Lace dies, did you see ?

Another sorry here I took the photos very quickly ,so positioning and that round  yellow thing in the sky was causing problems.
A rather large card here but the dies in this set are substantial . I used nearly a full 8x8 sheet of  LOTV paper for this card.
The chocolate box ribbon on this card was actually made from paper strips this time with a pearl from  Hobby House for the centre.
Back to the other new release I've recently used that being Sheena's ' A Taste of India '

Using a mixture of stamps plus embossing folders for this card . I started by using the ice silk to make a resist, apply the ice to the paisley design and stamp. Then used Tumbled Glass and Broken China over the top before embossing. The dots are one of the stamps and I thought they look like a dragonfly's body. So another paisley like stamp became the wings.
Something a bit different.
Time to go and play........work
Happy Crafting

A Taste of India Part One

To begin this post I would like to say sorry , I know I've been away for too long. All I can say is  that the days  seem  to disappear  to quickly , never enough time to fit everything in.
The last post was showing Sheena's new stamps, well this post  is doing the same.
'The Taste of India' was launched this morning at  8am , did you see the set ?  After speaking to Sheena this morning, I found out  how many hours it took. So  it's well done to fellow Inkoid Fiona  whose mission  it was this time to help Sheena set up.
I 've posted several of the cards from the show on Facebook but here  they are close up, along with an extra.

This one was created using the ice silk as a resist  and then Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink over the top. The leaves and the flowers were painted with  the ice mixed with Distress Inks.

The background was made the same way as the previous post showed, by daubing H20s onto acetate  then placing a piece of card onto it , this time I used Centura pearl. Then remove the card straight up.
The motif was stamped and embossed using black embossing powder.

The idea of a sari came into my head when making this card , I stamped the border and flower onto card before scoring and pleating . The motif reminded me of the medallions  I used to make, so I just layered it up alternating the colours.

I like this one , simple but the background looked great. I stamped the tiger in black Versafine , made a mask, then placed it over the tiger. I covered top and bottom of the card with copy paper, leaving me with the middle section to which I added Distress Inks. I then sprayed the leaf stamp with  water and stamped , this then removes the ink. I used a bit of kitchen roll to mop up the excess water.
More tomorrow I promise. Have to go , the baby awakes.
